Due to the continue development of economy and large scale of city, transportation has been given more consideration than ever. Meantime, it becomes a potential topic that research on how to maximize the utility of the transportation demand management. This study begins with the head and branch of the urban logistics system and use transportation planning theories and logistics theories to optimize urban transportation network in order to make urban logistics match the logistics system. This research could not only provide theory basis of urban transportation planning and management, but also guide the development of environment and economy. To analyze urban transportation system with technical model is very important to both the identification of the whole city's transportation strategy plan and the city's continues development.The paper begins with the spatial location and scale optimization of urban logistics terminals and considers the total expense arising in urban logistics circulation as the optimization object function and gets the optimizing model of logistics terminals. It consists three parts: first is the cost model from transportation terminals to logistics terminals; second is the cost model from logistics terminals to retail facilities; third is the cost of holding logistics terminals which are suitable to urban application. Further more, the models are consisted by all the cost of freight from other cities, such as transportation cost, welfare charges and so on. We optimize the best urban logistics network system by quantification analysis and iterative computation.On one hand nowadays the invention and application of the information technology bring more power and strategy to the urban logistics network's development; on the other hand traditional logistics network could not satisfy the needs of urban logistics any more. The key to solve the problem is to establish urban logistics information platforms. Therefore, chapter three base on the information platform to statement the main points of the development of modern urban logistics network.The development of logistics is necessary for the development of social economy, but the development and perfect for co-operative transport is necessary to modern logistics. Co-operative transport is important means to improve logistics efficiency and save social logistics waste. It is that the macro social logistics and microcosmic corporation logistics are connected by the development of co-operative transport. The whole social system is consisted by all of them. The author explains the problem How to establish the city co-operative transport system from the framework of system and the algorithm of co-operative transport. The fourth chapter tells us how to establish a urban co-operative transport system on theory, and emphases on the important function of GIS. The fifth and sixth chapters explain the algorithm during the establishment of this system. The first one brings us the shortest routealgorithm which is suitable for large retail facilities. And ant colony algorithm of the second one has the better effect on the small facilities.
