Study On The Stability Of Third-Party Logistics Alliance

Modern Logistics, as one of the advanced organizing method and managing technique, has been adopted worldwidely, and it has come into a booming industry and the third profit source following the labor force and resourse. With the China's entry of WTO, the world top logistics companies all aim at China's logistics market and compete into it. How should China's logistics enterprises response to this situation and cope with these overseas companies? One of the countermeasures is to establish the third-party logistics alliance. While only this third-party logistics alliance remains stable can this goal be reached.But more and more evidences show that the development of alliance are not stable yet. Therefore, the study on the stability of third-party logistics alliance is especially important. This thesis, based on relative theories, first introduces some concepts correlated with third-party logistics alliance, such as logistcis, third-party logistics, third-party logistics alliance, the stabilty third-party logistics alliance, and then it analyzes the out and inner motivation for formatting third-party logistics alliance. There are four key issues affecting the stability of alliance are brought out, which are type of alliance, payoff structure, coorporative strategy and profit distribution. For the type of alliance, it presents that the third-party logistics alliance is an open complicated gigantic system. Based on this theory, competition and cooperation are inducted into the dynamic model of biogeocenose evolvement. With the establishment of this dynamic model and the discussion of the stablity, the effect of this factor to the stability of alliance is deeply discussed. As for the payoff structure, this thesis introcuced four payoff structure models. How these models effecting the alliance is also deeply studied. And for the cooperative strategy, principle-agent theory is deployed to discuss how the cooperative strategy between alliance master and allies affects the alliance stability. At last, for the profit distribution, cooperative game model between two persons is applied to study the profit allocation among alliance members, and some reasonable profit distribution method is educed to keep the stability of alliance effectively.
