The middle market of commercial bank is defined as the business which consists of the bank's non-interest incomes but does not take into account of assets and liabilities of the balance sheet of the bank. The international banking has found a good way to developing business on the basis of controlling risks effectively after long-term exploring,that is to change the traditional mode of profit increasing and adjust the over-depending on interest income in order to improve the room of increasing the profit.Recent years, China Construction Bank Heilongjiang Branch (CCBHB) has made a great effort to explore the middle market. In addition to perform the already exiting middle market businesses, the CCBHB has developed some new businesses on middle market. The development of middle market has brought forward vigor to CCBHB. However, the CCBHB is also facing up great difficulties to develop middle market. By means of analysis of the external environment and internal capabilities, this thesis recognized the strengths and weakness of CCBHB in developing middle market and pointed out the significant strategic value of middle market for CCBHB to increase profit, reduce risk and consolidate competitiveness and formed the developing stratagem of middle market for CCBHB .Based on above mentioned, the policies for CCBHB to further develop the middle market have been bought forward from both market and internal management points of view. These policies include market development, management mechanism, organization structure, human resource development and technical support of middle market.It is hoped that this thesis can help CCBHB to solve operating and management problems and provide references for other commercial banks in developing middle market.
