Study About The Inventory Management In Supply Chain

Quick response to customer request and provide best customer service, with lowest operation costs, is a tough problem faced by most of the Chinese enterprise. Inventory management becomes a hot topic in the academic community of the management study. The concept of supply chain provides a good and maybe an effective solution for us.This thesis try to study the inventory management from the prospect of supply chain. In the first chapter, the basic background, meaning & significance of this study will be introduced. And based on the supply chain & inventory management some issues are raised for further discussion. In the second chapter, with reference to the advanced experience of some overseas enterprise and linking the current situation of the Chinese reality, I have brought forward some ideas from my point of view. In the third chapter, according to the key theories in the supply chain management, I have made a synthetical analysis and study on some widely exited problems in the inventory management from the aspects of Logistics, Information Flow and Organization Flow. In the last chapter, combining the results of the above analyses with the advanced experience from overseas enterprise, some countermeasures and suggestions to provide required level of customer service at minimum cost and maximizing use of the company's resource is put forwarded.
