Research On Information Flow Based On Supply Chain Management

The supply chain information flow which includes the information of both supply-need and management in the supply chain and accrues along with logistics and capital flow operation serves as the nucleus of the supply chain while each item of information as the carrier for communication and coordination of all the elements in the supply chain. The operation and management of the supply chain depend on the information transmission and information sharing.This paper is to redefine the supply chain management from the perspective of information flow. By analyzing the elements affecting the supply chain performance, conclusion was drawn that information sharing is of great importance for improving supply chain management. To realize the information sharing, priority should be given to the process of information integration and standardization on the supply chain, which is fulfilled by the application of information technology and auxiliary system. Therefore, in accordance with the same information source, the supply chain managers are able to make decisions advisably.The limit within which information sharing is acceptable is set on part of the relative independence of each enterprise on the supply chain and the business confidential security. What is more, this paper provides supporting technology for information sharing. From the point of management, information is categorized as information of statistics, information of application and information of strategy in hierarchy and the last one, involving the strategic decisions on supply chain management and affecting its operation as well as accretion in long term, consists of sales promotion, market forecasting, new product information, production cost, e.g. which are subjected to be concealed for the sake of each enterprise. Thus, the distorted information will impede the healthy operation of supply chain. To solve the above problem, the author proposes to establish the strategic alliances among enterprises and an effective incentive mechanism whose feasibility are verified as well.This paper aims to explore the way how to maximize the supply chain benefits depriving from information utilizing. Information sharing is by no means capable of maximizing the value of supply chain information. In fact, the value of some potential information contained in the data on the supply chain is awaiting further research. Based on the theoretical research and status quo of China's supply chain management, this paper creates a chain information management program for information sharing and information decoding through the use of some management system software such as SRM, CRM, ERP together with data warehouse and data mining technology.
