The efficiency of a organization is slowly and slowly, whether the organization is big or small. As high manufacture technology, information technology and modern management methods are applied to integrate management functions; traditional functional organization structure is broken. It becomes a vital mission to organization manager that using proper methods to redesign the organization just as BPR. The theory of BPR is first mentioned in an article ,named "Reengineering Work: Don't Automate, But Obliterate" by Pro. Michael Hammer in 1990. According to his article, BPR is a radical redesign of the business process, which aims at a dramatic improvement of the performance of cost management, efficiency or service. In fact, BPR is very difficult to practice, because it needs a good information management system and qualified technical adviser.However, this research sum up the theory of BPR as a customer-oriented redesign of organization structure in order to increase the organizational performance. The research tries to establish a model to describe relations among customer-oriented, performance management and process design, who are three important related parts of organization design. In a word, process is the foundation of the organization, and process design focuses on the customer-oriented object. The performance management will keep organization operating efficiently.The last part of this research, the author suggests to the organization manager how to design organization based on BPR and optimize the organizational process. All these efforts take the improvement of organization performance as the object.
