At present, the rural area of China is experiencing the great transfer of economic structure, in which the rural industrialization is developing sustainably, non-agricultural economy is extending and rural labor forces are searching new employment in non-agricultural areas and in cities. That results in the re-arrangement of rural productive resources to some extent, esp. that of labor force resource, which greatly impacts the employment and income of rural women as is analyzed in the following 5 parts in the thesis.Part Ⅰ is an introduction, which puts forward the purpose, magnificence, study methods and concept of the subject. Begun with the opportunity and challenge women faced with, the introduction deals with the theoretical and practical magnificence of the study for developing and perfecting the Chinese rural women employment. It adopts the methods of cornbinating normal and positive analyses, quality and quantity analyses, historical and comtempory analyses to conclude the universal rule of women employment, and proposes the countermeasures to develop and perfect the policy of Chinese rural women employment based on the reality of China.Part Ⅱ deals with the current situation of Chinese women employment, which includes the positive development and problems. The positive development shows its influence on the equality of employment between men and women, concerning the salary, security and work right, which encourages the women to play more and more important role in economy. Simultaneously, the problems, such as sex discrimination causing lower income of women, intensified gender occupation, increasing unemployment, laying off of more women and lower labor right, all loom in the transitional period of womenemployment.Part Ⅲ analyses the employment models of rural women, which is based on the research of labor division within the family, of different distributions of working time between rural men and women labor force, of choices of women labor force within the family, of different payments between men and women labor force, and research of different incomes between men and women labor force.Part Ⅳ presents the difficulty of rural women employment, including low position, low education, labor division within family, the negative influence of marriage on employment, unreasonable land contract caused by traditional marital concept, unstable land policy, market restraint, comparatively weaker power of women in agricultural association, low speed of non-agriculturalization caused by sex discrimination, inefficient security of women's rights and deficiency of women's employment credit.Part V relates the countermeasures and suggestions. In terms of bettering the rural women employment, the following aspects should be taken into consideration: 1) the women's quality should be improved first; 2) strengthen the land construction by solving the land contract in order to intensify the will of women to seek their rights which relate to their participation in society; 3) transfer the rural women labor force with plan by innovating the mechanism of employment management; 4) the sex equality of employment should be emphasized in policy-making; 5) promote the marketing system of women employment; 6) perfect the security system of women's rights and strengthen the sense of individuality of women; 7) improve the management of women labor force transfer, guide their employment by distributing the labor forcewithin and out of the locating, and develop the local industries to promote the development of rural economy, and 8) build a creditable society to create better environment for rural women employment.
