The Vehicle Monitor System Of The Intelligent Transportation

With the continuous and rapid development of our economy since the 1990s, the holdings of the motor vehicles have increased fast (more than 20% annual average growth rate). While the growing rate of the roads has been far lower than that of the motor vehicles, which has made the road traffic management work gradually harder and harder.With the development of the computer technology and digital image processing techniques, video monitoring has been more and more used in the traffic management, in which the most important thing is the extraction of the vehicle information and road information from the video images sequence.Intelligent video surveillance system is on the purpose of the centralized monitoring, centralized analysis and centralized management, which has used the high-speed cloud billiards-type spherical camera to realize the analysis and management of the all-weather urban traffic conditions.Intelligent monitoring system consists of two systems which are hardware and software. The hardware system has adopted high-speed cloud billiards-type spherical camera as the test hardware device and the core technology of software system has been the moving objects under the still background, which have reduced the influence of the light, rain and snow, dust to the system greatly. It is a real detection technology based on the event itself, which can detect the parking events and add up the traffic flow within the monitored areas in time, and also can support the traffic control and management.The system use C++ as the development language, OPENCV image and graphics libraries as the image development libraries, WINDOWS XP as the design platform, that has built a practical and stable system through the comprehensive application of the image processing, the multi-threading and thread synchronization and the video compression algorithms etc.The paper will state the basic conception, development background and application significance of the intelligent monitoring system. Also introduce and analyze the principle of the system key technology of the hardware and software in the intelligent monitoring system. Through the method of combining of the video analysis way and spherical camera, the design and analysis which are related to the hardware and software have been finished and the complete system test has been realized. I participate in the whole process of system development, described the knowledge and experience for the intelligent monitoring system, and summarized the working experience.
