Online paperless examination system combines the most advanced network technology and database technology, and it is an important application of CAI which in network age.In this article, there are six parts to introduce the process of developing online examination system. The first one is the introduction which brief described the train content of online examination system. The practical signify cancer of online examination system. In the second part, it describes the development of the computer's software and hardware, database and language. Development platform: Microsoft Visual Studio. Net, C# language, SQL Server 2000 database, based on Intranet / Intranet environment to run the computer's network. The advantage of this technology is with good compatibility, scalability, high reliability, high security .The third part is the system's overall design, including the system's overall needs analysis, examination system to solve the main problems, the examination the basic functions of the system, network security issues, online examination system is paperless examination system, students can test the network, the examination can be displayed after the candidate's test scores. All the background data is managed by the administrator, including user information, control, papers add, delete, papers classified management, papers activation; fourth part is the detailed design of the system, mainly by the system functional design, system page design, system database design, of which the system functional design to include in the class management, teacher management, examinations, papers, test paper, item classification, item bank management, and test scores query, candidate management of nine modules; fifth part is the system ?implementation and operation, The system is Internet as a platform to study the Web-based test system design and implementation, including system requirements analysis and system functional design, as well as database design, focuses on the item bank management module and paper management module design. Especially in the item bank management module in the automatic test paper features commonly used algorithms are compared. Some of the more popular code technology gives concrete realization. All the back ground database will managed by administrator, including the control of information, add, delete and classified of paper. The use of online examination system can simplify the examination period of teacher's heavy workload. The administrator will input the questions, each candidate's exam questions are randomly selected, so this examination can maintain a fair, just and open.
