Design And Implementation Of A Intelligent Online Examination System

Computer network technology is a mature technique , it also has been used in the educating realm. The traditional examination method faces an important change, because it is inefficient and work-intensive and wasteful use of natural resources. A online examination system , based on computer technology and network technology, which can save a great deal of manpower and material resources and also improve the efficiency and quality of the examination will replace the traditional examination method. To develop a online examination system with perfect functions has become an urgent wish of the organization which is the writer worked in. This paper mainly inquiries into the technology involving in the online examination system, and discusses the design and the implementation of the online examination system.In the function, the system mainly has five features as the following: First is the digitalization of examination question base. To put questions in computer and manage them with the database technique provides convenience to the storing, searching and working out of test papers. Second is the intelligence of providing test papers. The system can select test papers at random according to the testing tactics, which greatly improves the efficiency of organizing test questions. Third is a subjective and objective design problem of intelligent marking mechanism, paper reading more fair and reasonable. Using a computer to objective topic (fill in the blanks, true or False, choice ), to improve scoring efficiency and accuracy, avoid to roll a manually roll error-prone. The intelligence score in the subjective topic, can objectively and mechanism of accurate rate, reduce the score of teachers labor intensity. Fourth is the test base, according to the test results can be adjusted intellectually and updated. For each topic can test the exam results which were analyzed and calculated, and the calculated according to test data attributes of adjusting and update, enhance the vitality and practical question. Fifth, the system is able to examine the statistics and analysis. After the exam test of students, the system make analysis the data for teachers to provide for the teaching contents and plan adjustment.Moreover, the system mainly has five features in the technique as the following: first is the whole system carried out the distributed processing and the reasonable resources of realization scheme by applying the three layer structures. Second is that the data structure is reasonable by using the databaseof SQL Server2005 in the system. Third is that based on the analysis of the characteristics of the test paper, a theoretical model of intelligent test paper generation system is established. The system can carry out more methods in forming paper by designing the better strategy of forming. Fourth is that the interfacecatrry of the system is more friendly by using a great deal of DHTML technique. Fifth is that using the system is more convenient by using the terrace of Web in customer's machinem, and it deedn't install the additional software.Currently the online examination system has already developed completely and been tried out in the examinations. The result proves that the system has the functiong of testing and can reach the anticinant target.
