With the rapid development of information technology, modern war proposed higher demand to equipment ensuring. Due to a large number of very complicated information geneated in the process equipment support, a simple database query retrieval mechanisms and statistical methods have been unable to make a full analysis and process of th raw data and information. Would not achieve the necessary support for decision-making role, cannot reach the equipment support work requirements. In order to solve this "data rich and information poor" phenomenon which increasingly prominent, data mining technology as an effective solution have been widely used.Data mining technology used in equipment support are mainly based on the established goals and problems of equipment support, with the help of various analytical methods, data mining the inherent knowledge and the laws of equipment support and modeling, applied the model to the actual equipment support work.This paper did the main work of this are:(1) Prediction of equipped skills: Application of ID3 decision tree algorithm, based on historical data, integrated equipment parking conditions, driver skill level, mission frequency and maintenance intervals and so on, to judge the skills of the current equipment. In order to avoid combat skills of equipment affecting the successful completion of the task,determining whether to renovate or arrange for the equipment first.To the purpose of solving the problem that the ID3 algorithm tend to choose larger values of the properties, which is not the best attributes of the problem, this paper use the information gain ratio to improve ID3, as well as compare the experimental results of two methods.(2) Maintenance Relevance: Application of Apriori association rule classification algorithm, based on actual data, analysis and modeling the maintenance association of spare parts of the equipment, used to determine the maintenance of similar correlation between the repair parts , to determine the relevance of the various damaged components in the course of implementation of its mandate certain types of equipment, the most important is to determine the possibility of simultaneous repairing of the repair parts.
