With the acceleration of Construction of the informational society, military equipment and civilian equipment have a growing demand on the intelligence,directly accelerating the development of the intelligent technology. In this context,the technology of target recognition and tracking develops rapidly,has become an important research in the application of the visual field.In recent years,in pace with the continuous development of Very Large Scale Integrated circuites and embedded technology, the operational ability of embedded terminal improves continuously, target recognition and tracking which is embedded is gradually becoming the mainstream of intelligent tracking.1.Considered from the practical application,we have designed a hardware's developmental platform base on the model of DSP + FPGA.1) In the design of the hardware's developmental platform,we have optimized the data bus and control bus,enhanced the power of processing and control system,improved the flexibility of the system,completed the designment and implementation of system processing module,power supply circuit module,external memory device module,programmable device module,video decoding module and video encoding module.2) We have described the internal structure of FPGA,achieved internal functional modules of FPGA,designed FIFO system,completed the design and implementation of FIFO monitors,buffers and SDRAM controller,improved the state machine of SDRAM controller,strengthened systematic programmable features,enhanced the system control and flexibility of FPGA,achieved seamless connection of FPGA and SDRAM.2.Video decoding and encoding module respectively have used SAA7115 and SAA7105 made by Philips.Compared three models of video device driver,base on the characteristics of video equipment,we have used FVID driven model to design and achieve the driver of video decoding and encoding equipment.3.We have completed testing and adjusting of the hardware's platform.Through examples of video moving target recognition and tracking,we have debugged the hardware's platform,verified stability and reliability of the hardware.Having learned and achieved video capture,image preprocessing,target detection,image segmentation,feature extraction and matching,target tracking.
