Technology Research On Electronic Patrol System Of Campus

Campus is the place where talents are cultivated,security issue of campus is not only related to the growth healthy of students,but also affects a large number of families,affects the entire social's stability and harmony.Campus Integrated Security Systems will inevitably become the focus of public concern,Campus Electronic Patrol System is an important component of campus security system.In this paper,the author analyses the current situation of electronic patrol system home and abroad,summarizes theirs advantages and disadvantages.The research of Campus Electronic Patrol System in this issue integrates global positioning technology,geography information technology,electronic technology and modern communication technology.Its major function is receiving geographic location information of patrol officers with GPS receiver,extracting useful information such as time,longitude and latitude through CPU,storing the useful information into data storage chips by using of electronic storage technology,transmitting the useful information that storaged in patrol instrument to computer by using of modern communication.Making campus electronic map in computer by using of GIS related technologies,achieves the function operations of map,and be able to reappear the patrol tracks in map according to the patrol information.The author conducts a study on global positioning technology,geography information technology,electronic storage technology and serial communication technology.On this basis,a detail design project is given,the system can be divided into two sub modules:patrol instrument terminal and PC terminal.LPC2104 is the core section of patrol instrument,using Leadtek9548GPS for GPS receiver module,K9F3208Flash for data storage chip;developing electronic map of North University Of China in computer with MapInfo software,leading MapX into Visual Basic6.0 environment to achieve such functions:the management of electronic map and its basic operations,preservation and view for GPS data,communication between patrol instrument and computer,reappearation of patrol tracks in electronic map and so on.The application of Campus Electronic Patrol Systems makes the management for patrol officers more standardized,and be able to supervise patrol officers fulfill their duties,with the research and development deepen,the function of Campus Electronic Patrol System will be more prefect,and it will certainly become the highlight of campus security system,making greater contribution to the stability and harmonious of campus.
