With the development of society and technology, particularly the development of Internet technology in the last decade, all kinds of communication services are widely used, which greatly facilitate the people's lives. At the same time, as new network technologies continue to emerge, the information needs also change in contents and access methods. With the popularity of portable computers and mobile terminals, people expect that the mobile device can get high-quality communication services at any time, any place and the movement.Mobile management of mobile IP includes macro-mobility, micro-mobility and the handoff of mobile nodes in different mobile networks. The micro-mobility IP protocol is realized by Cellular IP, HAWAâ…ˇand Hierarchical Mobile IP. The handoff is introduced in the low-latency handoff technology in MIPv4 and the fast handover technology in MIPv6. On the basis of relevant technology studying, this paper presents a distributed location management solution in fast handoff for MIPv4 (DLM_FHMIP). Mobile nodes can register in suitable mobility anchor point according to the type of its business, when they fast switch in networks. DLM_FHMIP improves the communication service issues caused by failure or congestion in a single gateway foreign agent, and enhances the network robustness, and ensures the quality of service in networks.Firstly, this paper introduces the Mobile IP and its working principle. Secondly, the paper analyzes the mobile management technology of Mobile IP in detail. Thirdly, this paper presents a distributed location management solution in fast handoff for MIPv4 (DLM_FHMIP). Finally, DLM_FHMIP is achieved in NS, and the feasibility of the scheme is validated through analysis of experimental data.
