Research And Application Of Data Conversion Methods Based On Unified Mapping Rules

With the popularity of computers and the development of computer network, more and more government departments make their government affair electronic and networking. Because of the diversity of data source and the forms of data carrier, the biggest problem in system development is how to process the various forms of data carrier in a unified way and feed back to user in a certain form of organization in accordance with the need of business. The goal of data conversion is to support the transforming in a number of data carriers effectively and provide the model-level support.This thesis is under the background of Yuhong integrated database system. After the analysis of a large number of government affair and the methods of data conversion, it introduces a method of data conversion base on unified mapping rules. Fist, according to the data application in the e-government, it provides a concept of data interface to facilitate the formal description of complex data, in the framework of data conversion. Second, it use XML to achieve the method of description for unified mapping rules, then give a definition of four frequently-used rules and corresponding XML Schema. Third, aiming at the method of description for unified mapping rules, this thesis designs a data conversion engine to deal with the rules. The engine is divided into two parts, data import module and data export module. Each module has its components. In this thesis, it gives a detailed analysis and description to the components in each module. This thesis also sums up the special problems that may occur in the data conversion system, and gives the corresponding solutions of the problem. Finally, this thesis applies the data conversion framework to the Yuhong integrated database system. This application basically meets the needs of government affair in Yuhong and commendably drives the data flowing among the different data interfaces.
