The Research And Application Of Workflow Engine Based On Lightweight WEB Framework

As a key technique of process management and process control for modern enterprise, workflow provides a complete framework for business from process model analysis, establishment, management, simulation to operation. The application scope of the workflow has been extended to mobile computing, systems management, internet applications, development of industry application, application of the object-oriented technology, operating system, transaction management, and so on.This article focuses on the research of WEB-based workflow engine. In this paper, the workflow technique is studied firstly, focusing on analysis of control model and control process of the workflow engine. Secondly, against the shortcoming of traditional workflow system, that is poor reusability and difficulty for secondary development caused by the higher coupling of functions, this paper uses the component techniques to divide the functions of workflow system reasonably, and then designs the most important part of workflow system-workflow engine in detail. Next, the lightweight WEB framework is used to realize the workflow engine. The advantages of using lightweight WEB framework is not subject to the constraints of developing framework, which means more flexibility for the designing of classes and objects, better reusability, and more convenience for secondary development. This paper uses directory service to achieve the organization model of the workflow engine. With the use of directory service, workflow engine can be better combined with other related systems, making the maintenance of staff, departments and authorization more convenient. The experimental analysis shows that the workflow engine has good performance. Finally, the workflow engine is applied to a communication operation management system. The practice shows that the workflow engine is designed properly and can be used easily. The performance fulfills the user's requirements.
