With the development of digital technology, signal processing technology and computer technology, Doppler Weather Radar, as a new generation of weather radar (NEXRAD) for meteorological monitoring business, is also being constantly improved and developed. It is mainly used for monitoring and forecasting weather disaster, especially the wind and hail accompanied with the weather disaster. It can provide more accurate information for weather forecast.The Doppler Weather Radar Data Analysis System is designed and implemented on.NET platform in this thesis. The system reads bytes from the weather radar data files (the format is the WSR-88D), processes the data and draws the raster images, radial images, VAD(Vertically Azimuth Display) wind profile and storm tracking information which are necessary for weather forecast. In addition, the system generates contour for raster and radial images and displays the simple information to explain the content of images in order to provide the more accurate forecast for the disaster weather phenomenon. Meanwhile, the system also transforms the screen coordinates into longitude and latitude coordinates of points and writes them into files in order to offer GIS layers the data.Firstly, the background, the current domestic and foreign status, purpose and meaning of the system development are introduced in this thesis. Secondly, the algorithm about the Delaunay Triangulation and contour are specified and improved. Besides, development platform and language of the system are presented in brief. Thirdly, the requirement analysis of system, data analysis of the radar files and detailed function design are described in the thesis. Following, the thesis interprets and illustrates the concrete implementation process of every function module by the illustrated diagram and text. Finally, the system is tested and the problems encountered in the development and the corresponding solutions are pointed out. Some aspects of the system to be improved are put forward at last.
