Apply control theory, instrument and meter, computer and other information technology to test, control, optimize, dispatch, manage and determine the industrial process of production with the purpose of increasing output, improving and quality and ensuring safety.the technology mainly include industrial control and automatic technology is an all-round technology which consist of software, hardware and system of industrial automation three aspects.Papers by automation system designed of No.1 converter in the third of steelmaking plant of WISCO introduce the background of industrial automation application in the metallurgical industry. Article produced by the main line of converter steelmaking process, for the top and bottom blowing converter for electrical equipment safety, reliability we analysis several aspects of the production process problems in the converter. Highlighted explained that it set up the converter network control system by computer control technology and industrial Ethernet technology. In this network, it integrated converter oxygen lance tilting control system, converter, sublance control system, the converter feeding control system, converter gas recovery and purification systems. each system can work independently, and also can communicate with other devices so that the whole converter device control has become a safe and reliable entirety. In this system, the hardware using Siemens S7-400, ET200 control, PLC programming using Step7-V5.3, HMI screen using WinCC6.0 programming. Computer network system used high-speed industrial Ethernet fiber optic ring, field control equipment used Siemens proprietary fieldbus technology, reducing the cable laying and maintenance costs, safety, go high reliability.
