In the process of building enterprise information system, with the development of enterprise business, enterprises need to continuously develop and deploy new IT systems to meet the company's business development, we will refer to these IT systems as enterprise IT assets. With more and more information systems being used, the information system island phenomenon is becoming more and more serious, however, the rapid changes of enterprise business want to eliminate the information system island phenomena, and integrated management of enterprise IT assets.Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) issues a new approach for resolving information system island phenomenon. SOA introduces a loose coupled architecture, coarse service representing the real business regardless of the location and transport protocols. The features of SOA solve the information integration problems properly. Enterprise service bus (ESB) is the foundation of SOA and is the key technology to implement SOA.This article first expounds the background and research status of ESB.We give an ESB framework model on the basis of SOA theory, ESB technology and Web services technology, and we describe the design and realization of the message listener, protocol converter, message router and service call manager in detail, gives the enterprise service bus controller design framework.Controller is the core module of ESB, and mainly responsible the control and management of enterprise service bus. The article describes in detail the design and implementation of the task scheduling ,thread pool management, security, logging and transaction, and system management modules of ESB controller. Finally, we make a test of the functions and performance of ESB, summarize the problems of the design and implementation of ESB and further research directions.
