In modern measurement and control system, the thermal secondary instrument of temperature measurement system must be tested or calibrated to confirm their operating conditions and meet the needs of industrial production enterprises. According to the design method and steps of intelligent machines, this article researched and discussed the design process and experimental results of a high precision, portable field dual channel intelligent temperature detection system.The system can measure and simulate signals of 8 graduations thermocouples and 4 graduations resistance temperature sensor, and increased the scope range for the measurement and output of voltage, current, resistance, then made the range refinement to improve the output accuracy. By using the dual channel structure of independent measurement channel, the instrument can input and output simultaneously. Based on taking full account of the instrument size, weight, power consumption, interference rejection and other requirements, we chose the MCU, amplifiers, monitors, keyboard and other appropriate components reasonably. By using C51 language to compile software programs carefully, the system has strong coordination. Numeric conversion between the signal of resistance temperature, thermocouple and the temperature values is the focus of this instrument design. It simplified the steps and the difficulty of conversion between temperature and mV values, the temperature value and the resistance by using advanced mathematics and numerical analysis of analytical method. Conversion process is completed by the software programming. In addition, the software calibration is a major feature of this instrument. The use of software calibration, correction parameters can reduce adjust links of hardware, reduce costs, improve reliability and accuracy of system. Experimental results show that intelligent design is expected to feature temperature measurement system are realized, the basic indicators to meet the requirements. The experimental results show that the channel intelligent temperature detection system achieved the desired functions, and the indicators basically meet the requirement.
