The Research Of Heterogeneous Data Integration Based On Ontology

As the fast development of computer and network technology, information technology is used to implement the management and production in more and more areas. As a result, it appears a large number of heterogeneous data which is stored in different places, has different schema. Therefore, it is difficult to interoperate for each other. With the accelerated pace of informatization construction, it's more and more necessary to integrate these heterogeneous data.The purpose of data integration system is to provide users with seamless and flexible access to heterogeneous data source through a unified query interface which can hide the difference of underlying data source. The paper research on correlative theories and technologies of heterogeneous data integration and proposes a solution of heterogeneous data integration based on Ontology. We takes the Ontology as the global concept shared model, solves the semantic heterogeneity through creating the mapping between the global Ontology and local Ontology. We also use Web Service to implement the encapsulation and invoking of the data source, so the system is fit for the distributed system environment. The main work of the paper is as follows:The paper research on correlative theories and technologies of heterogeneous data integration based on Ontology, proposes a data integration frame using the hybrid schema of global Ontology and local Ontology and discuss the construction of the Ontology.The solution of semantic heterogeneity is creating the mapping between global Ontology and local Ontology, at present the similarity computing method of mapping algorithm is always partial, the paper proposes an integrated similarity computing method, and also gives corresponding algorithm.Query is an important function in the heterogeneous data integration system based on Ontology, the paper make a deep study on the query operation, including the transformation between the global query and local query, the implement and distribution of data Wrapper.The paper designs and develops a heterogeneous data integration system using the heterogeneous data in the field of scientific research as the background.
