The Re-Engineering Of Financial Audit System Based On Workflow

This paper attempts to research the evolution strategy of legacy system. By combining author's experience about the maintenance of the legacy system of the financial audit system of Unicom in a province, after analyzing of the system, this paper summed up the evolutionary strategy of re-engineering based on workflow and carried out the design and implementation. The financial audit system is one of the core components for the income security system of Telecom Company. It can ensure accurate revenue and callback the money in time. It can effective control of revenue escaping and leakage and reduce the loss. Accordingly, the financial audit system has been focused on telecom operators.The paper firstly summarized the related theories and technologies of the legacy systems, software re-engineering workflow management system. After making an overview of the status of the financial audit system of Unicom in a province, it judged the system's value on the business and technical standards and summed up the evolutionary strategy of re-engineering based on workflow. With analyzing a large number of existing workflow systems and comparing the characteristics of workflows, it confirmed to introduce the JBPM workflow system for the re-engineering of the financial audit system. After making a re-analysis to the system, especially re-analyzing lots of codes, it was sure the scope of re-engineering of reuse and reuse strategies in the re-engineering project. In view of the evolutionary strategy to introduce the workflow engine to re-engineering, it creatively put forward the overall project design which took system operation flow design primarily, module design as auxiliary. Specifically, the design used business processes and reusable code which were confirmed by reanalyzing the system as premise, and the component class of processes which were existing in the workflow process definition file as the core, to design and complete the core part of system's re-engineering. Finally, in summing up the experience of use the workflow system in the re-engineering process of financial audit system, it proposed the premise and concrete methods to use the workflow engine to make a re-engineering of legacy systems.It is conducive to learn from successful experiences of the original system and to improve the maintainability adaptability and security of the system after the evolution, to introduce the ideas of the workflow into the evolution strategy of legacy system.
