Design And Implementation Of OFDM Network Management System Based On SNMP

Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing OFDM is one of the core technologies about the future wireless broadband access and next generation mobile communications. Comparing with other means of transmission, OFDM has unmatched advantages to be applied in wireless video transmission. Currently wireless video transmission systems based on the OFDM technology have emerged in the market.So the research of OFDM video transmission network management system is of great practical significance.Simple Network Management Protocol SNMP is a network management protocol which is widely used and implemented easily. It is supported and widely used by many manufacturers. It has become an actual industry standard in the field of network management.According to the need of actual project, this dissertation designs a cross-platform network management system based on SNMP protocol,and which is developed by using JAVA language.The system can realize the configuration management, performance management, fault management and security management of the OFDM wireless video transmission special network.The dissertation firstly outlines the background of the project, including the development of wireless broadband communications and network management protocol. The communication technology and the network management protocol which the project chooses are also discussed.And then, the dissertation focuses on the basic knowledge of network management system, such as the concept of network management, the components of network management system, the function model and architecture of network management, and also, the dissertation focuses on SNMP, including the development process of SNMP, the architecture of SNMP, management information base, structure of management information and communication mechanism of SNMP.Unlike the general computer network management system, this network management system is highly targeted. So it is particularly important to have a thorough understanding of OFDM devices terminal. The dissertation has an in-depth discussion about the basic theory of OFDM and implements principle of OFDM wireless devices terminal. Specific network management needs can be put forward based on the analyzing the management information base about OFDM devices terminal.The core part of the dissertation is the design and implementation of network management system. Firstly, the whole design idea of network management system is proposed. Then, overall network management software architecture is designed. By using the free open-source SNMP package provided by Westhawk concretely realize SNMP protocol for the data acquisition communications. By using polling-strategy to realize dynamic displaying timely. By using Jfreechart to finish graphical interface about the spectrum performance and notch configuration.Finally, sum up the above discussion:the realization of the basic function of network management function provides effective protection for the reliable and stable operation of the OFDM wireless video transmission network. At the same time, the network management system has strong scalability and cross-platform nature. With the following optimization and improvement, the system will be more mature and stable.
