Wireless Ubiquitous Network (WUN) has been recognized as the future trend of the development of the wireless and mobile network, and its management has being emgerged to be one of hot topics of the WUN research.WUN is one large scale and complicated network environment with the typical charateristics of multi-services and multi-technologies. Besides that, there are also some unique requirements for WUN management. Existing network managment solutions can not meet the requirements of WUN management. The reasons include, for example, no an architecture for the various complicated networks management won the industry consensus; lack of appropriate management methods for the WUN with networks collaboration and convergences; lack of the management information models with shared information and the advantages of the key technologies in WUN. Therefore, it is of great importance to study the WUN management architecture and information model, which is also one of the basic and crucial topics within WUN research realm.Based on the study on the characteristics of WUN management and the relevant research achievement, this dissertation focuses on the management architecture and the managed information model of WUN. Below please find the main content and contributions of this dissertation:(1) Summarize the user roles in WUN management, point out that these user roles are the providers of WUN management services as well. Meanwhile, present the functional requirements of every user from the apects of Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Service Management and Network Resource Management.(2) Conclude the management architectures standardized in SDOs, e.g. ITU-T, TMF,3GPP, IETF etc., and then propose a new architecture supporting the composition of management services. Base on this, a SOA-based reference model is proposed, which consists of ES, NM, DM, E-OS.(3) Summarize the status of the study on the context awareness technology and ontology-based modeling of shared management information, and then propose a new modeling method and a generic shared management information model for WUN, with the view of the convergence of context awareness technology, ontology and modeling of shared management information.(4) Based on the proposed modeling methods and model, the new series of models for customer management information are given, aiming to enhance the customer management in CRM system. These models are described with the templates based on OWL-NM.(5) Concerning the advantages of the context awareness technology, several enhanced methods for information collecting are proposed and assessed.
