The agricultural information service platform involves storage, query and modification of vast quantities of information. So a independent module taking charge of information management is required, which is called Content Management System(CMS). CMS is now one of the focuses in the field of information construction, so more and more organizations begin to pay much attention to the study and development of the CMS. Experts predicted that in the coming, the content-management will be one of the key factors for information construction. The works in this paper mainly includes as follows. First, the background of CMS is introduced, the current situation of the research on CMS is analysed. Then, relative conception and technique of CMS are described, CMS of Agricultral Information Service is brought forward in the light of requirement analysis. Finally, storage structure and functional interface is designed and implemented. According to the development experience, the whole process of analysis, design and development is illustrated. Database and content repository are selected. Database is used to store and manage information content, while content repository is used for building and maintenance of related indexes. Hibernate is chosen to be the framework of data persistence layer. Apache jackrabbit is adopted, which is the full realization of content repository standard JSR-170. Besides, xmlbeans is applied to parse xml docunment which is involved in data interaction. Now uniform interfaces are provided, so other modules can easily interact with CMS, and agricultural information could conveniently and efficiently be stored, searched and managed. This paper tells about CMS application in agricultural information service platform, discusses usage of CMS in specific trade, and provides analysis and design method of CMS.
