With the improvement of the domestic market, the retail industry is becoming more and more competitive. The lack of timely and exact mastery of the daily sales data will cause a lot of waste of personnel, inventory and production. Timely and accurate sales data and competitive intelligence are very meaningful to decision-makers. Traditional ERP software have mainly solved large-scale resource allocation problems for enterprises, but the software for managing the sales status and sales staff of the distribution industry is still in an exploratory phase. Because of the high staff turnover, scattered sales places and lack of efficient supervision in the distribution industry, traditional solutions are not suitable for the problem. With the popularity of mobile devices, many software companies have been focusing on how to use mobile phones to solve the difficulties.This paper describes a mobile data collection and management system, a well-known ERP domestic enterprise's solution for distribution industry's problems. With the use of ubiquitous mobile terminals and mobile networks, distributed sales data are collected to enterprise management center, and first-hand real-time sales data are timely fed back to sales management department. This information can be used for a timely adjustment of the logistics, to reduce the cost and guarantee the supply. This system can also collect the first hand information of competitive intelligence and do market research and monitor the state of sale staff. With this information in hand, the system can help greatly improve the competitiveness of enterprises.This article focuses on the system structure and framework of the mobile data collection and management system. This system is base on Seam Framework and can be divided into two subsystems, Enterprise Operation System and Mobile Business Data Report System. This paper does not describe too many details about how to build the system, but focuses on how to use the Seam framework for web development and how to use mobile terminals for data collection.The main features of this paper are:1. Study how to use the current J2EE application server platforms and web development model of Seam+JSF, combined with iterative development, to quickly build a operational and marketable system platform. This Development model has been proved efficient and reasonable;2. Study how to use ubiquitous mobile terminals and mobile networks to find a suitable solution of data collection and retail staff management for distribution industry. This system can help the enterprises gain the upper hand in the fierce competition.
