A Security Research And Implementation Of Mobile-Commerce Based On J2ME And J2EE

Mobile-Commerce development depends on several technologies: First, the combination of the mobile communication technology and the Internet technology. Second, the J2ME technology, which supports application development on mobile devices. The thesis compares and analyses current technology, of wireless platform's building, and presents a Mobile-Commerce application based on J2ME and J2EE.This thesis summarizes the method of designing and developing the application on the basis of consulting a large number of documents related to J2ME and MIDP and studying the security of the Mobile-Commerce application based on J2ME and J2EE deeply and carefully. This thesis focus mainly on how to design and implement the system of Mobile-Commerce, and concentrates on analyzing and discussing three of the systems: wireless application architecture, the design of wireless client and the implementation of Mobile-Commerce. To solve the problem of wireless application architecture, the thesis uses N-Tier architecture, that is, wireless client-WEB server-application server-database server. To solve the problem of wireless client's design, the thesis thoroughly analyses current existing problems in the design of wireless client, then expands on the client architecture, the design for supporting online/offline operation, data models, data persistence, data refresh and synchronization, messaging and presentation. The thesis uses MVC, Adapter, proxy and chain of responsibility for client architecture, and analyzes their performance. On security extension, the thesis also give a method using digital signature and public key Encryption technology, the method can enhance the security of Mobile-Commerce application based on J2ME and J2EE in end-to-end environment.J2ME can work on all the network technologies and standards. J2EE is an enterprise application development standards because of its flexibility and extensibility. Through the research, I think that the J2EE and J2ME technology can be used in Mobile-Commerce application without problems. However, it is not suitable for real-time E-Commerce. In case of adopting corresponding safety measures, it can enhance the security of Mobile-Commerce application based on J2ME and J2EE.
