With the promotion of China's terrestrial digital TV broadcasting standard, a nationwide terrestrial digital TV broadcasting is rapidly developed, in order to solve the problem of spectrum resource constraints during the period of modulus transition, so the single frequency network has become the most important scheme of network programs to improve frequency efficiency. Therefore, in order to promote China's rapid development of terrestrial digital television broadcasting, the research on the key issues of single frequency network technology has a very important practical significance.The key issues of single frequency network technology includes network planning, networking mode, performance of overlapping coverage of the reception area, and program distribution network and so on. These issues are important to the single frequency network performance.This paper focused on the networking mode and program distribution network of single frequency network. About the networking mode, analyzed of header mode, error correction coding rate, symbol mapping system parameters of design features of China's terrestrial digital TV broadcasting standard, used the typical triangle of three points SFN as a model for software simulation, and analyzed different combinations of system parameters formed by single frequency network transmission mode, in order to provide the selection basis for the single frequency network transmission parameters in practical application. About program distribution network, analyzed two kinds of program distribution network form, one is RF signals produced centralized production and the other is RF signals produced decentralized production, researched the synchronization method of single frequency network. According to the conclusions, we analyzed the characteristics and requirements of different programs distribution network through the actual engineering research by researching network planning and construction of single frequency network programs in Beijing area and Henan province.At the end of this paper, we summarized the work that had been completed and made some advices for the future work.
