China's digital terrestrial television transmission standard come into effect in August 2007,single frequency network is covered by digital terrestrial television broadcasting network to promote the application trends.China's digital terrestrial television broadcasting transmission standard is a standard which China has independent intellectual property rights.Although there are research results of international standards that can refer to, but in the application process for our standard SFN technology, some key issues remain to be studied and solved, such as network planning.Therefore, the SFN network planning to carry out technological research on the promotion of China's rapid development of digital terrestrial television broadcasting has a very important practical significance.This paper firstly analyzed the domestic and international digital terrestrial television broadcasting transmission technology standards, focusing on analysis of our standard features.Secondly, detailed concept and requirements of single frequency network system as well as planning methods of terrestrial digital television on single frequency network. Then, on the basis of the above techniques, made analysis of the single point of emission/multi-frequency network and a single frequency network planning features, to make the European digital terrestrial television transmission standard DVB-T as an example. Presented our standard single frequency network planning parameters such as minimum receiver input signal and protection rate, and made the corresponding laboratory SFN simulation tests.Finally, study distribution planning method of the ITU and the European digital terrestrial television.In connection with our standard features as well as the status of domestic digital terrestrial television broadcasting, presented our standard SFN network planning reference planning configurations and reference networks.The research results have the actual significance for constructing SFN, and provide a reference for China's digital terrestrial television coverage of network planning standards.At the end of this paper,we summarized the work that had been completed and made some advices for the future work.
