Now in the information society, people can communicate with each other in so many ways.for examples, with the rapid development of Internet, personal computer become one important communication tool. and because the standards and technologies of 3G (3rd Generation Mobile Communications)become much more perfect,a large amount of 3G device have been deploy all around the world,which make the mobile communication also change so much too.So, converged communication is born below this environment.whose purpose is let all communication tool can connect and exchange data with each other.include personal computer, GSM network user,3G network user, IMS network user and so on.what's more,the converged communication can have a lot of business too,I t could be basic call business,message business,email business and so on,the video conference is just one of them.As we all kown,the video conference once be used in the internet,and make a hit.but the converged communication video conference is just of his first step,and the mode of it have to be change according to the feature of 3G network or IMS network.so there are a lot of work to do,it deserve our research.All the converged communication video conference is make up by three part:the terminal, user access network, and control system, what we introduce here is the control system, for the terminal and user access network is already exist now.This article is organized like this:in the exordium of the first chapter,we first introduce the concept, feature and network architecture of the 3G network and IMS network.also,we introduce the video conference service too and the research situation too.
