RFID technology and Wireless sensor networks have been developing very rapidly in recent years. They extend the input methods of information. With the propose of Smart Space, people use RFID and WSN as new information collection and input methods and bridge the physical and information worlds. Shopping Environment is an important area of Smart Space study. At present, RFID and WSN Integration Architecture are only set up in the general environment. There will be many problems if we use the general architecture into Smart Shopping Environment directly. As lacking the processing architecture to deal with the integration information of RFID and WSN; lacking various entities to describe the Smart Shopping Environment; due to the upper level of the low intelligence services, the operation for subscription of service is complex.In order to welcome Shanghai Expo 2010, Shanghai government proposals a project called "Future Store technology and equipment research for Shanghai Expo" into Retail Chain. In this paper, we deeply study the related technologies of Smart Shopping Environment. With the RFID and WSN Integration Architecture, we push the service to the customer and reason the status of product based on context model and business event in Smart Shopping Environment. I have done the following research: define the acquisition entity in operational data layer of architecture; two methods of access to information and processing steps; service agent, event handler and information agent. Present the composition and working principle of complex event handle module, service handle module and context processing module. Build the ontology models for product, user, location, collection point and environment in Smart Shopping Environment. After analyzing the whole shopping process, custom the RFID and WSN events in the shopping scenario. Define the business logic events with those low level events and propose the measures to deal with them. Analyze the context information of users and provide them with services intelligently. By defining the status of product and the conversion relationship between the various processes to achieve the product status reasoning. Describe the core scenario in different area of Future store, including how to complete the whole purchase process and the interaction between user and system.The contents of this paper are organized as follows: Firstly, we analyze the problems we face in Smart Shopping Environment study. Using Future Store as a practice of Smart Shopping Environment, we design and implement a lightweight integrated architecture of RFID and WSN to deal with the information and events in smart shopping environment. Secondly, after analyzing the ontology modeling, we build several models for the scenario and describe them with OWL. Then, we underlie the RFID and WSN events in Future Store and present the mechanism to handle the business event. We summarize the information collected by the architecture and models in Smart Shopping Environment to push services to users and reason the status of product with Drools as the reasoning engine. Finally, we present the system design, deployment and implementation of core requirements in Future Store.
