Wireless video communication over the multi-channel transmission environment is a new direction and hot topic in the field of multimedia communication in recent years. The multi-channel wireless video transmission is the process using multiple transmission channels to transmit single or multiple video streams, compared to the single-channel transmission, it expands the bandwidth, in theory it solves the contradiction between the ever-increasing demand for video information and channel bandwidth, however, it also brings some other problems, such as how to reasonable distribute streams among the various channels, packet sorting problem in the receiving end and so on. These problems directly affect the system's QoS. Therefore, nowadays research in this area has become a hot spot. This dissertation has launched a targeted research on how to improve the system QoS in the multi-channel wireless video transmission environment. The paper has proposed and implemented the overall system architecture to combat congestion. It deals with network congestion and maximizes bandwidth utilization using the adaptive coding, improved AIMD algorithm based on predictive parameter r, transmission strategy based on the packet size. At the receiving end, the Circular Linear Two Dimensional Table Sorting Algorithm is proposed to reduce the sorting complexity and time delay as a result of sorting. In the aspect of decoding and displaying, a multi-level buffer has been added in order to smooth non-equilibrium time jitter generated during the process of transmitting as well as sorting and eventually optimize quality of display. A large number of experiments have showed that the combination of there strategies and algorithms can effectively improve the QoS of multi-channel wireless video transmission system and overcome the shortcomings such as time-varying network bandwidth, non-equilibrium time jitter and high bit error rate.
