Design Of Data Collector Based On Wirless Sensor Network

Wireless Sensor Network (Wireless Sensor Network, WSN) is an integrated intelligent information processing platform combined with sensor technology, micro-electromechanical technology, modern networking and wireless communication technology. It is characterized by self-organization, reliability etc. It has broad prospects for development in in many areas such as public safety, environmental protection, intelligent transportation, intelligent household and experimental teaching. Currently, data collector based on wireless sensor network has caused widespread attention and been one of the popular research topics.The paper firstly introduces the develooment of wireless sensor network, research level and key technology. Combined with the character of WSN, it puts forward the design of data collector systerm based on WSN. After the deeply study in architecture and routing protocols of WSN, it suggests the design factors and principles of WSN. In addition, the paper compares the characteristics of various routing protocols and application, and points out the significance to study them in the data collector system. Secondly the paper introduces the design of hardware. By taking MSP430 as the main chip and IA4421 as the radio frequency chip, the circuits of wireless node and data collector node suitable for practical application are designed. Thirdly, the article discusses the software processes of wireless node and data collector node. According to the function of IA4421, the design divides into two applications, small networks and large-scale networks, while the LEACH clustering routing algorithm is applied to large networks, to enhance the network in the performance of each node. Finally, the functional modules of the system and the entire network are tested. Meanwhile the paper analyzes the test results, summarizes the existing problems of the system and puts forward the future direction of work.
