Research And Implementation Of A Trust Management System Based On The Grid

With the e-boom today, especially accompany with the development of E-business, trust has been the hotspot in daily life of network more and more. The old trust framework that based on the status or access control can't satisfy the requirement of secure in distributed environment with large-scale such as the Grid. In the Grid, the nodes are not familiar with each other, so the operations between the nodes are regarded as distrust. How to manage the nodes safely and efficiently has become the hotspot in the grid research.This paper raises a trust management system named GTMS system based on the sufficient research of the character and the security of grid. The functions of GTMS can be described as these parts:It can monitor the trust state of the nodes in the network of Grid in real time; Depending on collecting and analysing the trust information and select accurate trust value model, it can provide authoritative trust credential to the nodes who want to make operations with others. GTMS can optimize the resource environment and the process of the operations between the nodes. GTMS contains two parts:the server (trust agent) and the client (operation point), this paper is mainly about the server part.There are two main innovations in this paper. Firstly, we apply trust to manage the nodes in the grid, so the credentials of the operations can be promoted. Then, We raise the conception of trust certificate, and design the format of trust certificate, and use it to transport trust value that assure that the trust value's privacy and authority.
