Grid technology is one developed recently from wide area network (WAN) computation, especially from the high performance computation of WAN. Grid is seen as the next tide of the development of information technology which enables users to coordinately use a various resources distributed geographically, thus realizing the comprehensive resource sharing. Therefore it is also called the internet of next generation. The grid holds the following natures: the geographical distribution of resources is extremely wide and the connections between resources, between recourses and users, and between users are typically through WAN (such as Internet);recourses are of enormous types and amount and they require the coordinated work to a certain extent;resources are dynamically varying, including the variation of the properties of the resources and the copy and transfer within the grid;and the resources work are located on the heterogeneous platform and controlled by different managing strategies.These special natures of grid environment have raised many safety problems which are attracting more and more attention. Among them, the trust problem in the grid environment is a hot issue in the current research on grid safety. Owing to the vicious computing nodes and the attack from third-party nodes, the safeness and correctness of computation have become the bottleneck of the grid development.In order to solve the safety problems incurred by the dynamic and uncertainty of grid environment, we introduce the trust computation mechanism. Trust is a complicated concept representing an entity's reliability, honesty or confidence level of properties such as capacities, which is a effective mechanism dealing with the uncertainty and risk of information. However, the quantization of trust is very difficult. Therefore, this paper proposes a new trust computation mechanism based behaviors to handle the trust relations between entities in the grid environment. The model adopts different methods for the trust relations inside the domain and the trust relations between domains. The results of experiments and analysis show that the now trust computation model is able to evaluate the trust relations between entities more precisely compared with the previous trust computation model, thus solving the safety problems existing in grid environment more effectively.
