At present, the measurement of tubular product geometric parameters is measured by hands in China. It has flaws of lower efficiency, only a parameter in one time, easy influenced by human factors, lower accuracy, higher cost. According to the level of measurement technique and the require of testing equipment in our contry,we should research on the system which has merits of higher efficiency, higher accuracy, lower cost, more parameters on one time. This system has a good practical value and conomical prospect.According to laser triangulation method, combined with data collection technology and motion control technology, geometry of tubular products fast non-contact measurement system is designed in the papers, When it is measured, in accordance with the measurement requirements, we can select cross section measurement or screw measuremenet. The system can measure the required positon.measuring signal by the A / D conversion is sended to computer. Using least squares method, combined with a mathematical geometric of size calculation plane model, computer can convert laser displacement sensor output signal to the measured value of the geometric parameters tubular parts, in order to achieve the size of tubular parts automatically and quickly measure. The results show that the accuracy of the system meets the requirements and performance. The system has merits of high efficiency, low cost, several geometric parameters in one time, and quickly reflecting all feature characteristics in testing.it will help enterprises to detect and remove substandard products, and reduce production costs. At the same time, this measurement system can provide relevant technical support for other rotational fields.
