The Essence And Historical Evolution Features Of Media Technology

Human Communication Activities are age-old activities as human history, human beings have never stopped thinking and concerning about communication since it aroused. As the most active factor in the development of communication, media technology becomes more and more important today. However, the research limits itself to the communication at present. Few scholars take a philosophical perspective on media technology. On the other hand, as an important dimension in technology field, media technology should be attached more importance in the field of technological philosophy.Firstly, this paper expounded the source of issue, the status quo of the domestic and foreign research, the research ideas and its significance; secondly, from a philosophical perspective, the author defines the essence of the media technology and points out its classification to lay a theoretical foundation for the whole paper; thirdly, the author reviews the media technology history and analyzes characteristics of each stage; finally, the paper discusses the evolution dynamics and rules of the development of media technology, and make some proposals for the enhancement of this field research in our country.The author hoped that through the understanding of the "process" concept in the media technology study and a new dividing of media technology development, and through a new analysis of the personal rules of media technology evolution, the descendent scholars can in the field of technical philosophy field can pay more attention to the media technology, and to give media technology a deeper philosophical reflection to make the media technology play an active role in the human existence and development.
