The detection to measuring instruments is among the duties of legal measuring institutions. The detection to measuring instruments involves the management of the circulation of measuring instruments and detection certificates that cover the entire process from instrument reception through instrument and certificate delivery. Measuring instruments vary from one another in classification, name and attribute; therefore it is crucial to precisely manage the circulation of measuring instruments and detection certificates. The design and implementation of a distributed circulation management system for measuring instruments and detection certificates are introduced in this thesis. The system is built upon the .NET platform and is based on the C/S structure. The background database is Oracle 10g. .NET Remoting technology and Web Service technology are combined in this system to achieve distributed communication, which enables PC clients or mobile terminations to interact with the server. Thus, effective management of the circulation of measuring instruments and detection certificates are achieved. COM Interop technique is used to operate Word documents. Detection information input, measuring instrument handover, detection certificate printing, inventory management and retrieval input are implemented in this system.First, the background information, objectives and significance of this thesis are introduced. Next, related technologies used in the system are generally introduced. Then, the system is analyzed with the help of data flow diagram. In system design, the overall design of the system is given, then according to the division of functions of this system, the detail of each function module is introduced using module diagram, and some E-R diagrams and database tables are provided in the end. In implementation, flow chart is used to describe the implementation of each main module. The deployment environment, test process and test results of the system are discussed next, including unit test, integration test and UI test. At last the conclusion to this thesis and the outlook are given for further study.
