The Design And Implementation Of A Network Management System For Monternet Gateway System

Along with the growth of the monternet business, better of anti-wave ability and stability for Monternet is demand, and the product towards to the cluster distribute type gateway. Because of the fast-speed development of network hardware in the gateway resolvent, it is still a problem for net administrators that how to guarantee the network's availability and stability. This thesis discusses the research studies of a network management system based on the management gateway system which was designed and implemented by the author.In this thesis, the author firstly analyses the requirements of network management system. And then describes the architecture design of the system, and briefly introduces some of the main modules, such as agentx agent, nms and master agent. It points out that network management system how to implement malfunction manage and function data manage. At last, it introduces that network management system realization and test process.The network management system could monitor and supervise the running status of various equipments in the gateway system, and make it to provide the service effectively, stably, safety and economically.In the period of writing this thesis, the author designed system architecture based on the analyzing of the SNMP managing frame. Then the author designed and implemented agentx agent and nms modules on her own. Author also thought about using of a free software NET-SNMP to implement a fundamental network management system in the UNIX. Author has done a great amount of work and tried to invest the minimal resources to construct a common method for the network management system, as a meaningful trail. Meanwhile, the works author has done also provided alternative solutions to network management. The network network management systems has passed laboratory test.
