Research On Routing Protocol For Wireless Mesh Network

Wireless Mesh Networks, is a new wireless network technology which is quite different with the traditional wireless networks, also known as multi-hop network. It's one kind of distributed network with high-capacity and high-speed. In the structure of the network topology, Wireless Mesh is similar to the Mobile Ad hoc network, but most of the basic nodes of the Wireless Mesh network still and do not move nearly, and have small changes in topology. Wireless Mesh Networks as a wireless access can solve the "the last one mile" bottleneck in the new program is written into the IEEE802.16 series of standards and the 802.15 series of standards. For the current studies, the Wireless Mesh Network, is one of the best ways of the future wireless metropolitan area network, and one of the potential technologies for building the future B3G/4G .This paper first describes the origin of the wireless Mesh networks, network structure, advantages, and currently experienced technical problems. Then detailed analysis on two typical Wireless Mesh networks routing protocols will be conducted, based on the above work, the paper will propose an improved selection of routing determine the routing protocol. Through the multi-parameter routing criteria, the situation in the routing link can be more accurately reflected, while the addition of improved control algorithm can efficiently reduce the flooding of routing request. Finally, use NS2 network to simulate this improved protocol, Simulation results show that, this improved agreement have the advantages of reducing packet loss rate, end to end delay, and it can effectively improve the state of the network, achieved the desired results.
