This thesis studies visualization part of Radiotherapy Treatment Planning System (RTPS) using computer graphics arid image pre-processing, image interpolation for medical image, image segmentation and 3D reconstruction. RTPS of the ARTS that manufactured by the FDS Team of the Institute of Plasma Physics, CAS is developed with a new method for interpolation algorithm of medical image. In this paper, the main study works are following given:1. In this paper, we study it from image pre-processing to image interpolation, and from image segmentation to constructing 3D surface models, and, the system data structure can clearly describe the relations of models or of geometry elements of models.2. This paper developed a new method for image interpolation of medical images, using an algorithm for image enlargement.3. A new method is proposed to gain the contour interactively, so as to enhance the ability of medical image segmentation.
