Faced with the rapid development of enterprises and increasing complexity of IT technology, more and more users begin to focus on the security of enterprise's own IT environment, manageability and the ownership of total cost by TCO and so on. How to protect application data of the enterprise, how to manage the development of their own organizations and the increasing complexity of IT architecture, and how to control the rising labor costs and labor shortages in this high-technology field have been taken into account by more and more enterprises.Thin client/server computing model is a very good solution. With a specific embedded system as the thin client, connecting the server cluster through the Remote Desktop Protocol RDP, we can put all the resources in the server, and the thin clientjust provides the basic input system (mouse or keyboard) and output system (display or projector, etc.). This computing model will not only facilitate the management of the machines, but also reduces the total cost of ownership and enhance the core competitiveness of enterprises. In the beginning, this paper studies the embedded systems and the network load balancing with in-depth understanding of the characteristics of embedded systems and strategies of load balancing, then, it analyzes the server cluster application approach and the server resources allocation of the embedded systems in the network.(1) analyzes the connection model between the thin client and the server cluster in the view of computer application system as well as the characteristics of this connection model;(2) analyzes the connection agreement, including the most often used RDP protocol and the ICA protocol.(3) Analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of Load Balancing system of Microsoft Network and the application areas; In the end of this paper, the author designs one set of load balancing system for the client/server computing model, based on the advantages and disadvantages of Microsoft Network Load Balancing. He laso conducts the needs analysis, outline design and detailed design for the new system, and finally realizes the network load balancing system and carryies out the function tests.
