Computer animation makes the virtual static scenery world vivid. It allows us to operate 3D scene and build some lifelike object motion.Computer graphics is the basic of Computer animation technique, it connects the traditional static graphic technique with the real time graphic technique,the research of this subject involves every field of the computer graphics such as motion control technique, sculpting protracting and blending of the modeling.Character Animation is the core of Computer animation.It describes the human or animal's action.Currently,there are many techniques of character animation editing in the world.Most of these methods are directly dealing with the controller( eg,bone) to achieve animation editing.This paper presents a method that different from previous character animation editing——signal processing.Signal processing theory has been widely used in electronic circuits, communications and digital imaging fields.It is the basis of these areas.Character animation is a chronological sequence of movements and appearance.Because of this feature,the character animation can be treat as a time signal.This paper use several signal processing algorithm(eg, down sampling, up sampling, signal reverse,sequence transition, multiresolution filtering and multitarget interpolation).We study these algorithms and apply them to character animation editing.In addition,We also designs and implements a signal processing-based character animation editing system.Animation designer can use this system to generate some bardian animation .These animations can be use in different situations and Character.The system can save time and animation production costs, effectively reduce the animation manufacture cycle and related resources.This paper is composed of four parts:Part one introduce the current character animation editing techniques;Part two presents the signal processing method to deal with character animation;Part three is the core of this paper.It introduce virtual charactor,describe the primary signal processing algorithms and discuss system class diagram. Part four shows the implementation of the system,summarizes our work and the future anticipation of our study.
