With the deepening of social information, people concern about the remote control, enterprise want to dispatch the process of production intelligently, which all involve the terminal on the data acquisition and management. M2M Business-Support Platform provides a unified platform for the different industries and service providers with terminal data acquisition, control and management. The subject of this research is design and implementation of M2M platform communication module based on ESB, purpose to solve the communication problems among business application server, M2M platform and terminals.This paper using the thought of SOA, based on the technology of ESB, message oriented middleware, and web service, design and implement an communication module for the requirements of M2M platform. The module provide protocol conversion and message routing services for business application servers, M2M platform and industry terminal.Firstly, this paper introduces the current popular software architecture SOA, discusses SOA concept, technology, and reference architecture; and then analyses ESB which is the main entry point for SOA, and its role in SOA; then introduces IBM WebSphere Message Broker, which is now widely used in building an enterprise service bus.Based on the analysis of the system characteristics and the function requirement of communication module, this paper presents the overall design of communication module, divides the module into downlink business flow, downlink management flow, terminal uplink data flow and message log sub-modules; designs communication protocols which apply to this system; completes the detailed design and implementation of all sub-modules. After that, the paper performs a functional and performance testing to the communication module, analyses the testing results, and then optimizes performance of this module.At the end of, this paper summarizes the work of the author and the practical value of the research work, and points out the direction of further research.
