The Research And Partly Implement Of VOD System Architecture For The Radiated Television Network

Nowadays, Digital TV Program Platform has gradually replaced the conventional Cable TV Service. In this situation, Interactive TV is getting more and more attention from the cable television operators home and abroad. And through the VOD system platform where services like video-on-demand, personal-program-record, time-shifting-TV can be well integrated, the cable television operators will be more competitive.Set in the VOD system project applied by the broadcasting and TV network and making a reference to the ISA architecture put forward by Time Warner Company, this paper did some analysis and further discussion about some key techniques in the VOD system. And this paper also put forward the proposal that combining the interoperability of SOAP and the great executive power of the COBRA services of ISA architecture can improve the interconnection between the components in VOD system, which will make the integration of VOD system much easier to implement.At the same time, the paper also focuses on the analysis of media resources data in ISA architecture and does some research about the way to organize, store and study the media resource data with the help of XML related techniques. In addition, it also talks about the systematic analysis for VOD as well as the design and implement of its charging subsystem and perform an analysis on the two different systematic analysis approaches of VOD systems.And at the end of the paper, the writer suggests and makes a preliminary introduction and discussion about another kind of development for VOD system—the VOD system model with the characteristics of Web 2.0 adding to the original system.
