| Recently, with the development of wireless networks, the bottleneck problems in wireless network have continued to expose, such as the limited network capacity, the constrained spectrum resource and so on. Although multi-channel technology has been proposed for solving the bottleneck problem in wireless networks, the existing single channel protocols don't take full advantage of the benefits of multi-channel. In this context, the research of multi-channel protocol has become increasingly important, meanwhile, the network simulation tools that are the preferred by the networking technology researchers have begun to face the challenges of simulation of multi-channel protocol. NS2 as the widely used simulation tool, if it can provide multi-channel protocol simulation function, is bound to be better promotion of multi-channel research. Based on the actual demond to achieve multi-channel general simulation model of routing protocols for the uiltimate purpose, multi-channel routing protocols and NS2 mutil-channel simulation extention were studied in this paper.First of all, this paper discusses the typical routing protocols and their classifications, as well as presentes the basic principles of NS2 simulation, analysis of its wireless network simulation model of the mobile-node, and then study the existing work related the multi-channel simulation from the expansion of the purposes, the expansion of the methods and the structure of mobile-node, also summarizes their disadvantages of mulit-channel routing simulation.Next, this paper analyses the characteristics of multi-channel simulation and summarizes the problems of single channel routing protocol in a multi-channel environment, then combining with multiple channel simulation features, analysis and summary of multiple channel routing protocol and problems of multi-channel routing protocol. Based on these work, a multi-channel routing generic simulation models is put forword.Finally, this paper discusses the generic model simulation functional requirements, the structure design and implementation of the generic model in detail. Through the network throughput to validate the generic model, the result approves that the generic model has implemented the requirement of various types of routing protocol multi-interface and multi-channel simulation, which will effectively boost the capacity of NS2 multi-channel routing simulation. |
