The Technical Solution Of IPSec Accessing MPLS VPN

This paper mainly introduces the technical solution of IPSec accessing MPLS VPN, and put forward a network optimization proposal.MPLS VPN, utilizing public backbone network capacity, significantly decreases the duration for enterprise internal network construction and the construction cost, and also increases flexibility and efficiency of network operation and management, fulfilling the customer needs for information security, real-time transmission, wide-band features etc.Comparing with lease line access method, IPSec technology has features of easy construction and cheap price. IPSec, combining tunnel technology and security technology, create a safe data transmission tunnel, which is exactly satisfying the customer needs.Therefore, using IPSec to access MPLS VPN can get rid of the lease line at the edge of the MPLS VPN network. So as long as the Internet could be reached, access to MPLS VPN could be available.This paper firstly analyzes IPSec service demand, and introduces IPSec VPN technology principles. Then, combining IPSec laboratory experiment and real network statistics, this paper introduces a technical solution for using IPSec to access MPLS VPN. And also brings up the needs for the relevant OAM functions. Finally, in view of the existing problems in the service establishment procedure, this paper also gives suggestions on it.
