With the rapid development of communications technology, many novel wireless communication systems constitute the existing heterogeneous network environment. Network convergence, terminal integration and services integration are the trends.In order to take full advantage of the characteristics of the different access networks to provide ubiquitous services,and be able to match customer increasing requirements of the services(to be more fast, intelligent and individual),intelligent switching supported mobile access platform needs a new type of mobility management mechanism. It should be able to meet the modern service industry common needs on the underlying communication networks, but also be able to achieve terminal mobility and personal mobility in the heterogeneous network environment, and can support a variety of broadband services, like voice, video, multimedia and data.The paper first proposed a new type of user, terminal information management mechanisms.The mechanism is an important function in the management levels of the mobile access platform to support intelligent switching, and its innovations is to achieve personal mobility, user-centric, associated the user with his/her multiple terminals (single-mode or multi-mode). Using this mechanism, it not only can gain the information of user's available terminals, but also the information of all available networks, then according to the type of service, network status and user preferences, the platform selects the best network and best terminal for the user to achieve optimal access services.Next, by analyzing the demand of real-time multimedia broadband services, this paper proposes a novel intra-domain mobility management architecture based on SIP, which can support frequent intra-domain handovers of real-time services.By introducing hierarchical SIP registration and Session Border Controller(SBC),the architecture can support seamless vertical handover, location transparency and NAT traversal.Based on the architecture, an intra-domain vertical handover procedure is proposed, using Advance Duplicate Address Detection (A-DAD) to reduce the handover delay and the packet loss rate to ensure the continuity and quality of real-time multimedia services.Currently, Wireless Sensor Networks are widely concerned in the world. It is a hot advanced research field, involving multiple disciplines and integrated knowledge.Wireless Sensor Networks have very broad application prospects, can be used in military and national defense, industrial and agricultural control, urban management, bio-medical,environmental monitoring, emergency rescue, remote control in hazardous areas and etc. It has attracted lots of attentions of many countries'academic institutions and industrial organizations, which be considered as one of the technologies that have tremendous influence on the 21st century.The second part of the paper dedicated to Wireless Sensor Network indoor positioning technology. First, it analyzed the current mainstream distance-based location algorithms;then modified these algorithms to improve their performance.Secondly, based on the TinyOS development platform and using the Micaz node, the paper design and implement a real-time Wireless Sensor Network indoor positioning system, which can be used in the applications such as medical care,tourism and other location-based, user-centric services.
