With the rapid development of computer technology in geological filed, the application of 3D Geological Body has become the focus of research these years in borne and abroad.3D Geological visualization technology provides a new means for the geological workers to observe the geological structure, hold the geological information, analyze the geological characteristics in the 3D space, and it can be used as the basis of scientific decision for the petroleum, geology, minerals, and other fields. This paper get the information of geological structure by drilling data, and show the geological structure in the form of three-dimensional visualization.This paper introduces the basis fundamental and related theory to achieve 3D visualization of geological body at first, and then describes the methods and processes of three-dimensional modeling based on irregular net of triangulation (TIN). On these bases, the train of thought of 3D geological body modeling is presented, and achieving the produce and visualization of 3D geological body.This paper achieves the results and benefits in the process of research as bellow:1.Initially implementing three-dimensional visualization of a part of geological body based on C#. NET+ ArcEngine+ ArcScene.2.Achieving the simulation of the curve surface of the earth and the large set of stratum by using drilling data, the modeling techniques of TIN and kriging interpolation, and successfully achieving the 3D modeling and show of the stratum by using the method of Multipatch.3.Fitting and generating the continuous spatial curved surface of ground fissure by using TIN technology.4.To achieve to display the 3D model of drilling data and could inquire the information of borehole.5.Based on the model of three-dimensional stratum which is generated, to achieve splitting the stratum from any position and direction in 3D environment.
