| At the beginning of the 21st century, the dream of"peace and development"has not been realized, however, a series of catastrophes have been marked in human history. Home and abroad, human beings are shocked by a large number of astonishing events: the terrorism attack and H1N1 around the world; the supercolossal tsunami of Indian Ocean; the hurricane of Vietnam; the coup of Thailand; the Wen Chuan and Yu Shu earth quake in China and so on. It is regrettable to experience such tragic events within a decade.Appeared in the view of audiences, these catastrophes take a high proportion in the report of media which are named"crisis report","disaster news","breaking news"or"negative news"which take different emphasis point from the subject of journalism, communication science to politics, law, psychology, management etc. All of these catastrophes will be called"sudden disaster events"which pays attention to the aspects of"suddenness"and"disaster"in this thesis. Comparing with the former study, the negative effects and uncertainty of these disaster events are paid more emphasis here in that there is something in common with the two aspects. First of all, disaster events may be not breaking events, such as typhoon or flood which can be predicted. In addition, breaking events may be not disastrous, such as unexpected award in a match or amazing natural landscape etc. Therefore, the sudden disaster events may be defined as sudden, unpredictable events which could cause negative effects to the nature and society, such as terrorism attack, aircraft crash, pestilences spread, earthquake tsunami, vicious crime and so on.Another core that can be discovered from the report of sudden disaster events is news values which are also called scientific values. The"scientific values"differ from traditional news values and it is a kind of systemic, scientific and brand new value orientation which is based on scientific development view and core values of socialism. Such a scientific value is not only a thinking method but also a value judgment which is based on natural science and humanities. Meanwhile, it is a methodology and guiding principle of media in practical operation.The media may analyze the catastrophes by selecting the events, showing the details in a single report of sudden disaster event in order to form an invisible net-shaped structure no matter how many expression forms and reporting styles are used in that report.What exactly exists in these"value images"? What can not be changed? What is right? What should be encouraged and avoided? The media is a social organization which owns the feature of class attribute when considering about the former questions. Then, how could the media to realize the guidance of"scientific values"? This thesis will pay more attention to the ways of fulfilling social duty of media as a comprehensive social existence and establishing positive image in specific news report.Has utilized the massive fact example in this article, used domestic and foreign media information has surpassed 30, has analyzed four"the nature and man-made disaster"which had represents the significance. The article had used research techniques as content analysis, literature search, comparison research, and social statistics what has carried on the elaboration from the quota and the qualitative two aspects. Stresses in the qualitative analysis, the goal lies in the instruction news practice. Seeks the general character from the concrete reportage research results, from the concrete case to analyzes the value orientation behind through the report phenomenon. Then, urges the media to manifest the scientific values which lied in the practice through the reportage that the media has done. Realizes the media community responsibility acting, sets up the contemporary media proper healthy image, the planning the proper scientific progress tendency of mondern media. |
